Advokatguiden AS (hereinafter referred to as Advokatguiden) is responsible for all processing of personal data, including collection, registration, compilation, storage and disclosure, or a combination of these methods of use, which is done through this website. Advokatguiden is responsible for ensuring that the information we have about you is used in line with privacy legislation. In this privacy policy, we provide you with information about the processing for which Advokatguiden is responsible.

Personal information is all information that can be linked to you as a person. This declaration is continuously updated. An updated version will always be available on the website.

 

When do we collect personal data?

We mainly collect information about you in the following situations:

  • When you want to leave a review of a lawyer (or associate etc.)
  • When you request a quote for legal services
  • When you claim a lawyer profile on our website
  • When you agree to us contacting you for marketing purposes, for example in connection with signing up for a newsletter or similar
  • When you visit our website

Information that is typically collected is name, address, mobile/telephone, e-mail address and company affiliation. In addition, we collect various technical information, such as browser statistics, IP address, etc.

If you are registered as a lawyer (or associate etc.) we can also obtain the information about you from various open sources and databases and publish it on our website.

 

What is registered when you claim a lawyer profile?

When you claim a lawyer profile, the following information is stored, among other things: e-mail address, password (encrypted), description of your services, company affiliation, legal areas including keywords and contact information.

 

What is recorded when you request a quote for legal services?

When you request a quote for legal services, the following information is stored, among other things: your e-mail address, name, desired legal areas and your other contact information.

 

How long do we store personal data?

Information about lawyers (or associate etc.) is stored as long as the person is active and offers his services and there is no reason to believe that the person will not resume his work as a lawyer (or associate etc.) in the future.

For other users, the information is stored for a maximum of 10 years.

When we publish information about a lawyer on our website, we do this to offer a socially useful information service. This is in accordance with the GDPR Article 6 No. 1 f), which allows us to process information that is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest that outweighs the consideration of the individual's privacy.

 

Publish an assessment of a lawyer

If you wish to make an assessment of a lawyer, we process personal data about you and the relevant lawyer in order to fulfill our agreement with you in accordance with the GDPR article 6 no. 1 a). The processing is also based on the legitimate interest consumers have in such assessments being published for reasons of competition and the possibility of better legal services. GDPR Article no. 1 f) allows us to process information that is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest that outweighs the consideration of the individual's privacy.

 

Offer of legal services

If you wish to request an offer of legal services, we will process personal data about you in order to fulfill an agreement with you in accordance with GDPR article 6 no. 1 b). If you agree that we can market our services to you, then the processing basis for marketing is GDPR Article 6 no. 1 a), where you consent to our processing of information about you.

 

Visit our websites

When you visit our website, we collect technical information. This information is processed in relation to analysis and improvement of our services. The processing basis for the use of cookies and analysis is GDPR article 6 No. 1 f), which allows us to process information that is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest that outweighs the consideration of the individual's privacy. The legitimate interest is to improve and further develop our websites and services.

 

Disclosure to third parties

We only disclose personal data to third parties after agreement with you, or when we find it appropriate to use external system providers. We have a data processing agreement with relevant third parties which ensures the same safe processing of the information as with us and processing by third parties in accordance with GDPR.
